How long does it take to tan evenly?
Tanning is a process that depends on a lot of factors including the sunlight intensity (UV index), your altitude, genetics, and skin type. Therefore, it is very individual. Wearing Volagor for as long as you can will ensure better results.
Will I be able to tan in areas that haven't tanned with regular bikini?
Areas of your skin that have never been exposed to sun may not tan the same way as skin that has been exposed before. Pigmentation may differ and sensitivity levels may be higher. We recommend using an extra layer of sunscreen on those areas to avoid burning. You may also notice slower tanning in these spots.
Is the fabric see-through?
Our bikinis are unlined (no padding) so nothing stands in the way of the sun's rays. The fabric is tested both dry and wet to ensure it isn't see-through. Some breast types may show more than others — if you'd like to reduce any potential sheerness, we recommend sizing up. (Sizing up may slightly reduce how much sun passes through the micro-perforations.)
Should I wear sunscreen under the bikini?
Yes — we recommend wearing sunscreen to protect the skin from burning.
Can I use Volagor in water sports and other activities?
Of course. Our swimwear is long-lasting and fits perfectly onto any body shape, so you can use it as you would any regular bikini. The fabric has been tested in salt water and chlorine for durability.
Do the bikini straps inhibit the tanning process?
Our straps are made very thin so they don't block the tan. Normally they don't interfere with tanning since they're made from the exact tan-through fabric as the rest of the bikini. We do recommend moving them around from time to time for the most even results.

It is important to ensure that you have enough sunscreen to prevent any potential burns. As an industry expert, I highly recommend taking proper precautions to keep yourself safe in the sun.
